[NOTÍCIA] Prêmio Eisner: Mulheres recebem destaque e vencem nesta edição

Um dos mais importantes prêmios – se não o mais – para histórias em quadrinhos da indústria, o Prêmio Eisner, anunciou nessa sexta-feira (21) os grandes vencedores de 2017, durante a convenção Comic-Con, que ocorre anualmente em San Diego, Califórnia. A 29ª edição do Will Eisner Comic Book Industry Awards consagrou velhos favoritos do público, como “Saga”, e trouxe novas apostas, com destaque para a quantidade de mulheres nas histórias premiadas, seja dentro ou fora delas.

São 30 modalidades, ao todo, em que os artistas de quadrinhos podem ser premiados e algo que não passou despercebido por nós, ávidas leitoras feministas, foi como a premiação celebrou a presença feminina na indústria, premiando – direta ou indiretamente – 11 mulheres pelas suas contribuições e obras no ano de 2016.

Não se enganem, porém, pelo aparente baixo número, já que artistas como Fiona Staples, de “Saga“, e Jill Thompson, de “Wonder Woman: The True Amazon“, que resenhamos aqui, foram contempladas com mais de um prêmio.

Além disso, o quadrinista brasileiro Rafael Albuquerque foi indicado, em conjunto com a quadrinista americana Hope Larson, na modalidade de Melhor Quadrinho para Adolescentes por “Batgirl”, da DC Comics, podendo adicionar isso as conquistas do desenhista de “American Vampire” (2010).
